Where it Goes

One Restoration Retreat costs approximately $5,000
One Quarterly meetup costs approximately $1,500
Podcast = $500 per episode
Peer-to-peer support training – Battle Angels – approx. $5,000 annually

Goals:

  • Shield of Sisters currently holds 4-6 Restoration Retreats every year. Within the next two years we will be able to have one per month.
  • Within the next five years, we want to have had at least one Restoration Retreat in 80% of the individual states.

  • Less than 10% of our funds go towards administrative costs.
  • ALL your money goes directly toward supporting our mission.

Public Laws 117-300 and 117-303, passed into law during the 117th Congress, improve hearings before the Board of Veterans’ Appeals regarding claims involving military sexual trauma and improve coordination between the Veterans Health Administration and the Veterans Benefits Administration with respect to claims for compensation arising from military sexual trauma

Statistically, 1 in 3 women in the military will suffer sexual assault at some point during her service to our country

A recent RAND publication reported that 62% of Military Sexual Trauma endured by Military Ladies occurred on a military installation or ship

9,635 Lady Veterans in the state of Wisconsin have filed Military Sexual Assault disability claims with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (as of 2022)
